For people of a certain age — you out there Gen X? — a full day of school on a Saturday probably conjures images of The Breakfast Club. But for at least one senator in Arizona, it’s more about the state Constitution than high school cliques.

State Senator J.D. Mesnard (R-LD13) is teaching a free Arizona Constitution class on Saturday, Oct 14, hosted by the Arizona Free Enterprise Club in Tempe, AZ. The intensive 8-hour course runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and is available to the first 20 registrants.

The Senator, also an adjunct faculty member teaching U.S. and Arizona Constitution courses at  Mesa Community College, will cover a wide range of critical issues in Arizona law. Sen. Mesnard, who served in the State House and Senate since 2011, has been a consistent proponent of improving education through school vouchers and fiscal conservatism in the State’s budgeting. Before his election to the House, he served eight years as a Senate policy adviser. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Business and Public Administration.

The Arizona Free Enterprise Club and PAC promotes fiscal discipline, regulatory reform, and limited government and supports like-minded candidates. They also offer information and education related to upcoming legislation and other essential community issues.

The course registration is available here and carries a $45 recommended donation to help cover some of the course expenses.
