Thanks volunteers for tremendous early voting effort

Arizona remains a crucial battleground state, and the Trump campaign is ensuring that every base is covered. Former President Donald Trump and Senator JD Vance have already spent significant time here, and on October 23, 2024, it was Donald Trump Jr. bringing his energy and charisma to solidify support. This was his third trip to Arizona this election cycle.

Trump Jr. hosted a large rally in Queen Creek, drawing several hundred enthusiastic Arizonans. But before appearing on the big stage, he made a point to visit several Trump 47 campaign offices, including the Sun City, AZ, rolling up his sleeves (literally) to thank hardworking volunteers who were busy phone banking personally. His stops were a morale booster for those working countless hours to ensure a successful campaign.

Arizona’s 2024 election landscape is showing a potentially record-breaking trend. Republicans, who typically prefer voting on Election Day, comprise 36% of Arizona’s electorate, with Democrats and Independents 29% and 34%, respectively. Democrats traditionally lead Republicans in early and mail-in voting, but early returns of Republican-issued ballots are reaching unprecedented levels this year. Pundits credit this surge to a strong ground game led by the Trump 47 campaign and Turning Point Action (the campaign arm of Turning Point USA), positioning Arizona to break turnout records this election season.

Trump Jr. traveled to the Sun City campaign office, where approximately 40 volunteers gathered to make phone calls for Team Trump. This was many of the workers’ first opportunity to see Trump Jr. speak. In this more intimate, relaxed setting, he showed his interpersonal charm and flair for storytelling, sharing hilarious anecdotes that brought smiles to the room. It was a special moment for the dedicated volunteers who gather regularly to make calls and knock on doors—the essential, behind-the-scenes grunt work necessary to move politicians across the finish line.

Trump Jr. rallied his conservative base with a powerful message, emphasizing that his father, Donald Trump, is entering this race with far more experience than during his first term.

“That’s why it’s so much more vicious for him this time around,” he said. “Now he knows who the good guys are and who the bad guys are, and with that knowledge, we can really make a difference.”

Trump Jr. underscored the need for support, acknowledging that even though “they canceled the most powerful guy in the world,” they can’t cancel America.

During the small event, he told many humorous stories about his father. “I’ve been to a billion rallies, and I’ve never seen my father look to a graph or a chart.” He continued, “that’s why I believe there’s someone else helping us.”

REPORTER’S NOTE:

Trump Jr. worked the group with a lively twenty-minute speech and, afterward, took time to connect with folks one-on-one, signing autographs and posing for photos. It was a rare and intimate setting. Journalists typically hold back from photo ops at official events—but this felt different. It was too good to resist! When the moment came for a picture, I handed my phone to a helpful gentleman to snap it.

But… one slight hitch. The phone was set to video, and, in a brief wave of stage fright, I froze, completely blanking on how to switch it to camera mode. Cue the awkward pause. Without missing a beat, Don Jr. (at this moment, just a “regular” guy) chuckled, took the phone himself, and casually switched it to photo mode. The crowd loved it, and one volunteer laughed, “He’s so down to earth!” Nothing like a little tech assist from Don Jr!
