OPINION: Kern Makes his Case for Congress

I’m Anthony Kern, a conservative Republican running for Congress here in AZ-08.  Like you, I love Arizona. I’ve lived here for 35 years. There is no other place I’d rather be. 

As a dedicated public servant, I have had the honor of representing the great state of Arizona in various capacities, including as a State Senator right now. My journey in politics has been guided by unwavering principles that prioritize the values we hold dear: secure borders, secure elections, support for law enforcement, and defending our constitutional rights.

One of my key commitments has been to ensure the integrity of our electoral process. As your State Senator, I fought tirelessly for secure elections. I am committed to making it not only easy to vote but also impossible to cheat. The cornerstone of a thriving democracy lies in the trust its citizens have in the electoral process, and I will continue to champion transparency and fairness. In the wake of the 2020 election, I stood firm in my convictions, seeking to address concerns about the electoral process. I was the only candidate in this race who played a direct role in the forensic audit.

My career in law enforcement has made me unyielding in my support of our police and first responders. I firmly believe in supporting those who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe.

I stand for the protection of our Constitutional rights, including the bedrock principles of free speech, freedom of religion, the right to keep and bear arms, and your right to property.

But you don’t have to take my word for it. I was honored to receive the Hero of the Taxpayer award for consistently lowering taxes, cutting spending, and returning more money to you, the hardworking taxpayer. Fiscal responsibility is not just a talking point for me; it’s a commitment to ensuring your dollars are used wisely and efficiently.

I proudly hold a 100 rating from the Arizona Free Enterprise Club and am an alumnus of the prestigious Club for Growth. As a member of the Arizona Freedom Caucus, I am part of a group dedicated to upholding the values that make Arizona a beacon of conservative principles.

However, my commitment extends beyond fiscal responsibility and constitutional rights. I have been recognized as the Friend of the Family every year in office, an accolade earned through my dedication to increasing high-performing teacher pay, advocating for school choice, and securing funding for our schools. I am passionate about pro-family and pro-life policies that strengthen Arizona’s parents and empower our children.

Finally, I’ve supported Donald J. Trump since he came down the golden escalators years ago now. I’ve always been an America First conservative at heart, and I will support our President no matter what.

Arizona, I’m excited for 2024. It will be an exciting year for our country, and I humbly ask for your support as I run for Congress in the 8th District. Together, we can build a future that reflects the conservative values that have made our state strong and resilient.
