•KATE GALLEGO’S ENDLESS THREAD–After Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego tweeted the uncontroversial opinion yesterday that data centers “must give back to the communities they’re in,” political consultant and de facto Attorney General Kris Mayes surrogate Stacey Champion clapped back “Good to see you’ve adopted  @AZAGMayes talking points finally. Guess your team has been paying attention to the polling on this. You really have become a “politician” in the worst sense of the word…”

It was a strange response because it appeared to emerge from some sort of personal animus as opposed to an actual policy difference. Champion added that she didn’t believe that Gallego was “authentic” in her data-center concerns and that her politics on the issue had “shifted.” Gallego responded “It’s very strange to be disingenuously attacked on this because I’ve been working to rein in data centers for quite some time,” and then proceeded to go on an eight-tweet thread where she tracked her advocacy for data center control, including a courageous partnership with the mayor of Melbourne, often called the Phoenix of Australia. “I haven’t done any polling on data centers—I led on this issue long before it was popular because I believe it’s the right thing to do, not because I’m weeks away from an election,” the Mayor of Phoenix added. At press time, her response had fewer than 1000 views.

•THE SADNESS OF MATTHEW AMMEL–The Republic featured an interview with Krysten Sinema’s ex-boyfriend, ex-bodyguard, and current endless legal mess Matthew Ammel yesterday. Let’s just say you don’t want any part of their personal life. Ammel said he trashed Sinema’s home and her expensive art collection earlier this month because he was “pissed at the system.” “The American people have no idea how (expletive) up our government is and, like, what our politicians spend their time doing,” he said.

Ammel is mad because Sinema has developed a post-Senate career, according to him, working with Palantir and other defense-industry companies. “that financially benefit from the genocide in Gaza and the current war we’re losing in Iran.” About an event they attended together, he said, “Kyrsten was there rubbing elbows with Trump’s personal lawyer and, like, it was legitimately the most insane thing I had ever seen.”

Apparently, he was working as  a cowboy at a military installation in California, but took sick leave, went to her house in Cave Creek, drank too much, and went on a rampage. After that, he went into a two-week observation that was “like a Nazi experiment,” he said. This isn’t going to end well.

*GREEN PARTY CLEAN-ELECTIONS LAWSUIT TOSSED–Judge Melissa Iyer Julian dismissed “Green Party” candidate Risa Lombardo and Duwayne Collier’s attempt to preemptively stop Clean Elections from ordering them to repay public campaign money. Julian says there is no repayment order yet, so their challenge isn’t ripe, and the Commission gets to finish its investigation. The investigation deadline remains Oct. 29, five days before Election Day.

•FOUNTAIN HILLS POLITICIANS DRESS UP AS TRAFFIC CONES–Mayor Gerry Friedel, Councilwoman Peggy McMahon and town staff dressed as orange traffic cones Monday to celebrate the opening of a third eastbound lane on Shea Boulevard. This is the same Fountain Hills government currently entertaining Allen Skillicorn’s Florida-style Sharia-law proposal, and the town attorney happens to leave office today.
