Several of Arizona’s most prominent voices on election administration will gather in Apache Junction on July 14 for an Election Integrity Rally focused on voter confidence, border security, and civic engagement. Hosted by Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller, the event features elected officials, attorneys, and policy advocates who have played significant roles in some of Arizona’s most consequential election-related debates and legal battles.

Miller has been a vocal advocate for preserving precinct-based voting, arguing that local communities should retain the ability to conduct elections through neighborhood precincts rather than be forced into a one-size-fits-all vote-center model. Earlier this year, Pinal County successfully challenged actions by Secretary of State Adrian Fontes that county leaders argued threatened the future of precinct voting, securing a court victory that many election-integrity advocates viewed as a win for local control.

Miller has also been at the forefront of efforts to implement a 287(g) agreement with ICE, a move that prompted litigation by the Board of Supervisors and Sheriff Ross Teeple seeking to undo it. While the case remains ongoing, Miller has maintained that illegal immigration is both a border security and election integrity concern.

Featured speaker Justin Heap, the Maricopa County Recorder, recently secured a major legal victory in his ongoing dispute over election administration authority in Maricopa County. The ruling reaffirmed powers assigned to the Recorder’s Office under Arizona law and was viewed as an important victory for Heap.

Representing Heap in this high-profile legal matter against the Maricopa Board of Supervisors has been James Rogers of America First Legal, who is also scheduled to speak. Rogers has become a leading election-law attorney in Arizona and is running in a contested primary in LD10.

The event will also feature Senator Jake Hoffman, chairman of the Arizona Freedom Caucus. Hoffman has emerged as one of the Legislature’s most influential conservative leaders and has championed numerous election-integrity, government-accountability, and border-security initiatives at the Capitol.

Also scheduled to appear is Representative Alex Kolodin, an attorney and member of the Arizona House of Representatives who is currently a candidate for Arizona Secretary of State. Kolodin has built a reputation as one of the state’s most active election-law attorneys and has been involved in numerous legal and legislative efforts focused on election administration, transparency, and constitutional governance.

Former State Senator Anthony Kern will also address attendees. Kern served as one of Arizona’s alternate electors following the 2020 election and has remained a vocal advocate for election integrity and constitutional government. Organizers say his participation is particularly relevant given ongoing discussions about the prosecution of Arizona’s alternate electors and broader concerns about due-process protections. Event materials highlight support for “Due Process for Arizona Alternate Electors” as one of the rally’s featured topics.  Kern is eyeing a return to the state legislature.

According to organizers, the rally will focus on policies including voter identification, proof of citizenship, voter-roll maintenance, signature verification, paper ballots, election audits, accountability for election officials, and election security. Discussions are also expected to address the relationship between border security and election integrity, issues that remain central to Arizona’s political landscape.

The rally begins at 6 p.m. on July 14 at the Hitching Post Saloon in Apache Junction. Volunteer opportunities, campaign materials, and community networking will be available, and free appetizers will be served.

Organizers say the event’s purpose is simple: to encourage civic engagement, strengthen public confidence in elections, and promote discussion about policies they believe will help ensure every legal vote counts and that Arizona voters remain at the center of Arizona elections. Their message is straightforward: secure the border, secure the ballot box, and protect the integrity of every legal vote.

Pinal County Republicans for Secure Borders is hosting the event, and they can be reached at freedomrsvp@proton.me.
