Over 700 grassroots patriots joined AZ Free to celebrate the organization’s 5th Annual Summit yesterday, September 20, 2025. The gathering opened with a moving tribute to Charlie Kirk, who was recently assassinated. While Arizona and the world prepare to mourn Kirk today, Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Free Enterprise Club continued with its planned celebrations on Saturday, dedicating the event to his legacy.

This year also marked the Arizona Free Enterprise Club’s 20th anniversary. President Scott Mussi underscored the organization’s mission, stating his hope that “the left packs up and moves back to Arizona.”

The celebration also highlighted the Liberty Network, a coalition of thirty organizations united under the Arizona Free Enterprise umbrella, demonstrating the breadth and strength of Arizona’s conservative grassroots movement.

Radio host James T. Harris served as master of ceremonies. Introducing Mussi, Harris said that he is “a force in Arizona” and has “his pulse on the state.”

Mussi told the crowd that “no one in the country is doing what Arizona Free Enterprise is doing.” He pointed to the organization’s impact over the past decade, having helped pass 75 bills—while also defeating many others. In 2025 alone, the club had 16,197 volunteer activists and over 27,022 traceable actions taken, according to a slide shown at the event.

Mussi also paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, calling Turning Point “a great partner.” He promised, “Turning Point, we will always have your back.” He added, “September 10 will be a day we will never forget.”

He went on to state that the reaction to Kirk’s assassination exposed the true nature of the political left: “Millions had to watch the monsters that the left had become. The left has a violence problem, not a freedom of speech problem. Charlie was killed because of how effective he was. He was killed because we are winning. We don’t need to change course but we do need to stand firm and fulfill Charlie’s vision for Arizona—protect freedom of speech without violence or intimidation.”

Mussi emphasized the group’s unique role: “We are the only group that combines advocacy, education, communication, lawsuits, and grassroots to effectuate change.”

The Free Enterprise message of “Don’t CA my AZ” was spotlighted alongside a new initiative to build an education and training program for the next generation of conservative leaders. Mussi also noted, “We are the only conservative mega PAC with 500 individual donors.”

Looking ahead, Mussi challenged attendees to honor Kirk’s legacy: “Who is going to be the next Charlie Kirk? There will never be another. It will take all of us to fill the void of Charlie Kirk. It will take each of us. We will all have to pick up the slack. Let’s fight together, as Charlie would have wanted, to keep Arizona free.”

Dignitaries from all over the state, including Rep. David Marshall, Sr. (R-7), Congressman Andy Biggs (CD5), and the Arizona Teen Republicans were in attendance, to name a few. The evening closed with comedian Adam Carolla serving as the keynote speaker, bringing both reflection and levity to the landmark event.
